Human Resources Coordinator

The Human Resources Coordinator, (HR Coordinator),  provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, scheduling and HRIS data entry.

Responsibilities include providing administrative support to employees, assisting the HR Director/Manager with recruitment process and providing assistance with the onboarding functions. The HR Coordinator may also assist with administering benefits, processing new hires and handling any related issues or questions.

Position Responsibilities

    • Works with Benefits Vendor with employee issues or questions

    • Performs customer service functions by answering basic employee requests and questions
    • Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains compliance of I-9 files
    • Submits new-employee background checks
    • Assists with processing of onboarding new hires and processing terminations
    • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process
    • Assists with recruitment and interview process; tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up emails at the end of the recruiting process
    • Schedule meetings and interviews as requested by the HR Director/Manager
    • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions
    • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested
    • Maintains office supply inventory
    • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years related work experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now/Comprehensive Platform/HR
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to multi-task and be timely
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Teams

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
